A leading digital marketing agency based in Manchester city centre are looking for a senior SEO executive to work with a portfolio of B2B and B2C clients, across a range of industries.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior SEO Executive to lead our SEO efforts and drive impactful results for our clients. This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in SEO who is ready to take on strategic responsibilities, manage complex projects, and mentor junior team members.

As a Senior SEO Executive, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing comprehensive SEO strategies across various client accounts. You will be responsible for technical audits, advanced keyword research, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance organic growth. Your experience and insights will help guide the team, contributing to the overall success of our clients' digital marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • SEO strategy development: Collaborate with the head of digital marketing & head of SEO to devise and implement SEO strategies that align with client goals and drive measurable growth.
  • Technical SEO leadership: Conduct in-depth technical SEO audits, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure best practices are followed across all client websites.
  • Keyword & content strategy: Perform advanced keyword research and trend analysis, providing recommendations that inform content strategies and maximise search engine visibility.
  • Performance analysis & optimisation: Analyse SEO performance data using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, and other industry-standard software. Provide strategic insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Client & stakeholder management: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, presenting SEO findings, strategies, and reports in a clear, actionable manner.
  • Mentorship & team leadership: Guide and support SEO executives, sharing knowledge, reviewing their work, and helping them develop their skills.

Trend monitoring & algorithm Updates: Stay informed on Google algorithm updates and SEO industry trends, adjusting strategies as necessary to maintain and enhance client rankings.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on SEO experience, ideally within an agency setting, with a proven track record of driving organic growth
  • Technical skills:
  • Proficient with SEO tools like Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush
  • Advanced skills in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Google Tag Manager.
  • Strong familiarity with website platforms like WordPress, Magento, Shopify, and others.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript as it pertains to SEO.
  • Analytical skills: Ability to interpret complex data and provide strategic insights, with advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Project management: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both clients and internal stakeholders effectively.
